The Lions sign QB Matthew Stafford to a 6 year deal that was anything but cheap. 42 million guaranteed. The local reports were that the Lions were working to get the guaranteed closer to 30 million. As usual, the Lions disappoint. Stafford could turn out to be great, but its hard not to doubt it.

I will officially say that I do not like Stafford. 57% career completion percentage in the SEC does not bode well for his long term NFL success. That being said, I hope I'm wrong and wish him luck.
